About Us

Objectives

The objectives of the degree programmes in Faculty of Environmental sciences include the following:
i. To train competent students who are innovative and versatile with sound knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of the profession in order to provide detailed site analysis, preliminary designs and construction drawing services on diversified construction projects in the public and private sectors.
ii. To equip such students to handle the management, procurement, monitoring and control of all resources related to the built environment.
iii. To provide sufficient general knowledge which will enable the students on graduation interact effectively with the society and the ever-changing environment.
iv. To produce graduates such that, with subsequent industry experience, will become competent practitioners, registrable with the recognized professional bodies of Architecture, Estate management, Quantity surveying, Surveying and Geo-informatics and Urban and Regional Planning both in Nigeria and the world at large.
v. To positively contribute to high quality research in all aspects of the technology of the built environment.
